Ballet Instructor –
Leslie began her ballet training at the age of 5 at the Jacqueline Colledge’s School of Classical Ballet. At age 14 she was invited to dance as an apprentice with Utah Regional Ballet. Just two years later in 2000 she joined the Utah Regional Ballet (URB) as a member of their professional company. She had the opportunity to perform with URB in China, California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and New Mexico.
Leslie was invited to perform at the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Missouri, in 2003. She has been awarded full-tuition scholarships to the Richmond Ballet Summer Program, The Burklyn Ballet Summer Program, and Utah Valley University; Ballet Scholarship. Leslie has been a member of the Regional Dance America since 1998, and competed and performed at festivals annually.
Leslie continued her education and ballet training at Brigham Young University, she had the wonderful opportunity to perform with both the Ballet Showcase and Theater Ballet companies. She finished her schooling and graduated with her BA in Ballet Performance. In 2005 and 2006 Leslie underwent 2 major reconstructive knee surgeries and had to put her performance career on hold.
Leslie, has a deep love and passion for dance, especially ballet, and is so excited to be sharing that with her students at the Pointe Academy.
Leslie and her husband Jared have two children, Mason and Lilly.
