Eldon JohnsonBrandon Bryant

Brandon Bryant was born in Miami, Fl and has loved dance since the age of seven. Since elementary school he has always attend performing arts school. As a young boy, he enjoyed his time as a part of a funky young hip hop group to help kids stay active and of the streets, The Hip Hop Kidz group performed everywhere doing half time and TV shows, and even the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. In high school, Brandon was a member of the dance team where his hip hop choreography as a sophomore year took first place and the award of national winning routine. He has loved his time being a part of Aida the opera, the AFL dance company, Odyssey Dance Theatre, and Soul Escape companies, all have created highlights that made an impact in his life.  But his greatest life changing experience was being on So You Think You Can Dance Season 5. Brandon was runner up for season 5 and is now on a 40 state tour of the US with the top 12 dancers of the show.  After finishing tour, his plans are to move to LA and start his career.  He has signed with an agency and plans to take anything that comes his way.

Eldon JohnsonThayne Jasperson

Thayne Jasperson was recently seen on the hit reality TV show, "So You Think You Can Dance" season 4! He then continued on to the SYTYCD National and Canadian tour. Film credits: High School Musical (Brainiac), High School Musical 2, MTV's American Mall, and Handcart (Horace). Regional Theatre credits: Footloose (Ren), It's a Wonderful Life (George Bailey), Cats (MungoJerrie), 42nd Street (Andy Lee), 1776 (Courier), Can Can Club (Toulouse Lautrec), Aida and Annie. He danced 6 years as a principal with Odyssey Dance Theatre touring Europe, China, Costa Rica and across the U.S. For Thayne's choreographic work with Odyssey, he received a rave review from the New York Times describing his work as "ingenious!" He has also choreographed for many national corporations and continues to teach/choreograph wherever the opportunity arises. Eldon JohnsonVeronica Yeager

Odyssey Dance Theater

Veronica Yeager has been dancing her whole life and has found so much joy in it. She recently performed in Footloose and Annie at Tuacahn where she also played in Cats (Tantomile). She was also in the National Broadway tour of Footloose. Film Credits: High School Musical 2, HSM 3, MTV’s American Mall. International Dance Tours include: Mia Micheals RAW (Europe), U.S. Ballroom Champion (Ukraine), Odyssey Dance Theatre (China, Europe, South Korea, Costa Rica, Mexico). Regional Credits: Giselle (Giselle), It’s a Wonderful Life (Mary Bailey). Veronica has performed with Coca Cola in the 2001 SLC Olympics as well as the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She has been a principal dancer with Odyssey Dance Theatre for 11 years and is grateful to be doing what she LOVES to do.

Odyssey Dance Theater

Jen has been with Odyssey Dance Theatre for seven years now and has loved what it has brought to her life.  Through Odyssey she had been able to work with Jason Parsons, Liz Imperio, Dee Caspary, Mandy Moore, Roni Koresch, just to name a few.  She has traveled all through Europe, Korea, Costa Rica, and all over the United States with her dancing.  For the past four summers she has been able to be a part of Justin Giles company Soul Escape. She has been in Legally Blonde II and High School Musical 3. Above all of that she loves what the everyday work and sweat of being a dancer brings to her life and hopes to pass it on to others.

Eldon JohnsonEldon Johnson

Eldon Johnson has been a part of the Utah dance community now, for over 10 years. After receiving his formal dance training at the Winner School, with All-Star Dance Clubs of America, Eldon began his professional career with Odyssey Dance Theatre. While dancing with the world-renowned, ODT, Eldon has been fortunate enough to work with some of the most sought-after choreographers in the business, including Mia Michaels, Ronen Koresh, Dee Caspary, Mandy Moore, Liz Imperio, Jason Parsons, Ryan Francois, Alex Magno, Bonnie Story, Derryl Yeager, and Trey Barber. Eldon has performed on stages in Germany, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria, Mexico, Costa Rica, South Korea, and all across the continental US including Chicago, Manhattan, Jacobs Pillow, and of course, Salt Lake City. Along with ODT, Eldon has also danced with Mia Micheals, “RAW“, and Parsons Dance Project, directed by Jason Parsons. Eldon’s other professional credits include industrial work for many different companies such as Coca-Cola, and Xango, and various television appearances, most notably, being a featured dancer in the Disney Channel, hit movie, “High School Musical”. In 2006, Eldon made his musical theater debut at the Tuacahn Ampitheatere in their production of the Broadway hit, “Cats”, in which he played the role of Plato and Macacity. Eldon will be joining ODT once again this year for their 09-10 season, where he also serves as the Assistant Director. He looks forward to what this next year will bring.

Eldon JohnsonGev Manoukian

Gev Manoukian, of Armenian descent, was born and raised in Kazakhstan. In his senior year of school, Gev formed the first break-dancing group in his hometown. Together, they learned their moves by watching videos and through trial and error.

In 2003 Gev moved to Salt Lake City, UT. He soon found a local break-dancing/hip-hop group and joined the ranks, picking up where her left off in his hometown. The group, “Extreme Dance Studio”, introduced him to the world of hip-hop. With his natural ability to pick up new dance movements, and his zeal to dance, the new genera took flight; brining him to a new level in dancing. As he continued developing his dancing abilities, he soon discovered a new transition in his dancing…the combination of break-dance, hip-hop, and classical movements all rolled into one.

Gev engages audiences with his self-taught moves and passion. In 2004 Gev auditioned for the Hollywood block buster, High School Musical 2, and was chosen as a featured dancer. Two years later, he was cast as a principal dancer in movie, “The American Mall”. In 2008 Gev’s dancing talents took him to the nationwide auditions of the Fox reality, hit, TV show, “So You Think You Can Dance”. Gev’s unique, versatile, and powerful dancing abilities, won the judges and America over, as he danced his way to the top 10 dancers.

Eldon JohnsonShauna Oliverio

Shauna Oliverio, grew up in Detroit, Michigan and studied her first years of dancing at Suzettes Masters of Dance. She trained on scholarship under the direction of Joey Malone and Jackie Sleight at the Performing Arts Center in Van Nuys, CA. During these years of training, Shauna focused on Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Lyrical, Modern, Hip Hop, Acting and Voice. Shauna has been teaching children of all ages for the past 10 years and there is nothing in the world that she is more passionate about! She has also found her love for setting choreography and has had the chance to work with many competitive studios, national material for high school and college competitive dance teams, and professional production shows. Some of Shauna's professional dance credits include, Detroit Pistons Automotion, a few episodes of Ally Mc Beal, The Tracy Ulmann show, a Microsoft Industrial for "Xbox", Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, main dancer in an NFL half-time show with Enrique Iglesias, Windsor Casino and Tuacahn "Broadway in the dessert". A few years ago Shauna found her love for Musical Theatre and played Liz in "Chicago", Rosie in "Cabaret" and Etcetera in "Cats"! Shauna currently lives in Salt Lake City, UT, where she trains, performs and travels with Odyssey Dance Theatre.

Eldon JohnsonElizabeth Martineau

Liz Martineau began her training in Las Vegas where she studied at various studios. She attended programs at Alvin Ailey, Kirov Academy, and North Carolina School of the Arts. Liz is a graduate of the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts High School after which she attended the University of Utah on a modern dance scholarship. Liz has performed in many television shows and commercials and performed with Orion Productions “Iron Beats” in Tampa, FL. Liz is excited to be in her 6th season with Odyssey Dance Theatre where she has had to opportunity to perform around the country, Europe and China during the 2008 Summer Olympics. Liz loves to teach and share her passion for dance with positive methods.

Eldon JohnsonNatalie Reid

Natalie Reid was born and raised in Seattle, Washington where she trained at Turning Pointe Dance Centre for five years. She graduated from Chapman University in Orange, California, with a degree in Public Relations and Advertising. While in college she balanced her academics and her dance career, which gave her many wonderful experiences along the way. Natalie had the opportunity to be a part of Mark Meismer's Evolution Dance Company and also was a member of Justin Giles SoulEscape for two years. She trained with Anaheim Ballet during their 2007-2008 season and her favorite performances were Nutcracker and Serenade. Natalie assisted Mia Michales and Mandy Moore during the 2008 season of hit television show So You Think You Can Dance, and has had the honor of assisting and performing for Mandy Moore at a number of different venues. She has worked with Dee Caspary for the past four years and performed his work at the New York City Elan Awards. Natalie is thrilled to be back for her second season with Odyssey Dance Theater and feels so blessed to be part of such an amazing family.
